Please allow me to introduce. . . .

 "Jesse"

 "Sam"

"Bowden"

Several weeks ago we received word that the Ministry of Justice in Bulgaria had officially placed "Jesse," "Sam," and "Bowden" on hold for our family!

"Jesse" and "Sam" are both 12 years old. They are best friends and have been together since they were very young.

They have watched countless friends come and go over the years, wondering when it would finally be their turn.

A year ago, it was discovered that they had never been registered for adoption, that they had never even had a chance! Thanks to several amazing advocates, that problem was rectified and soon they will know that it is finally their turn to go home!

"Bowden" is 5 years old and was our "wild card," the missing piece to our puzzle. As we moved forward with our commitment to Sam and Jesse, we still felt that someone was missing. We began to review the files of waiting children and when Richard saw Bowden, the final piece clicked into place.

All three boys have special needs (limb differences, cerebral palsy, craniofacial abnormalities, hydrocephalus and sensorineural hearing loss) and we feel pretty confident that all three of them will fit right in with this big, crazy family!

We feel incredibly blessed to have been chosen to welcome these boys into our family and look forward to having them home!

Wow! I'm sure you get this all the time but how in the WORLD do you do it? One special needs child sounds hard enough but you have so many! I would love to read a blog post of yours that tries to answer that question...for those of us who cannot fathom how in the world you do it all! You guys are so incredibly amazing!!!!

Hi Valerie,
My name is Wendy and I am trying to adopt from Bulgaria right now. We are from Utah and are LDS. I wanted to ask a few questions to someone who has adopted from there before. I thought I sent you an email, but I'm not sure if it was the right address. Is ther ANYWAY you'd find time to email me or talk with me? My email address is wendybelieves1@gmail.com

Thanks so much for your awesome example and how much you must sacrifice for all these children!

Health, relationship and finance. Welcome to

It has been quite some time since your last post. I understand if you have come home with your 3 new additions you are one busy Mama & Papa! :-)

We adopted from Ukraine a few years ago. I would be interested in the Bulgarian process and how it works. I pray all is well with you and your family! I look forward to any updates from you and your family!
